Spar is to hold its first UK summer 'wine festival' promotion, reports www.planetretail.com. From 22 April to 2 June, Spar will offer 25% off over 35 different wines. Over the past six months, the retailer has undertaken a complete overhaul of its range of wines, with new designs and new suppliers on around 35 of its 50 private label wines. This includes entirely new ranges of French, South African, Chilean, Australian and Californian wines.

Spar Wine Controller Laura Jewell said: We have committed real investment and resource into finding some of the best wines for our own branded range and it is great to be able to bring them to the market at genuinely great value. The SPAR Wine Festival is designed to make it easy for people to try something new this summer without breaking the bank.
